Our client, a young and energetic woman, first approached us when she was looking for an answer to her penthouse in Saigon that did not reflect her personality and desire for vibrant, integrated spaces.
All great architecture results in a space that contains, cuddles, exalts, or stimulates the persons using that space.
The mezzanine was expanded using a glass-flooring panel, thereby creating an open working space while allowing the natural light to pass through to the dining area below. The bed and bath were also renovated to create spaces that smoothly blend into each other.
The first objective was to merge several functional floor areas to create a more open layout for this apartment. This was achieved by replacing the existing heavy wall with arch-divider-structural, which connects the kitchen and dining space. This feature replaced small, stifling rooms with a large, open room.
Unity is conceived through a vibrant material palette, amplifying the space and apartment atmosphere. The main surfaces are covered in white with wall painting, emerald green, wood flooring and furniture with gold detail finishes.
